2021 BMW iNext spotted on a trailer

The BMW iNext was spotted on a trailer next to a BMW X5 and it's looking like a more polished SUV.

There are a number of differences between the iNext pictured here and the car we've previously covered. For one, it has a revised glasshouse with a pronounced kick towards the tail, in keeping with BMW's current range of SUVs.

Our spy photographers point out the lines around the boot and doors, both of which have changed compared to the test mule we've covered in the past. In other words? This mule is much closer to production than BMW's last.

Inside, the steering wheel used as a teaser earlier this week is plain for all to see. The rest of the interior is well concealed, but previous teasers have already made it clear the iNext will have a large curved display atop the dashboard.

Compared to the X5 sitting above it on the trailer, the iNext looks like it has a longer wheelbase and body.

While full drivetrain details have yet to be confirmed, BMW says the iNext will have a driving range of over 600 kilometres. The car will also serve as the company's technology flagship, and will include Level 3 autonomous driving and access to numerous online services.

Not a fan of how much the iNext proportions are to the Jaguar I-Pace. Loving the interior though.
