BMW 7 series revealed

You guys by chance see the new BMW 7 Series. Its got quite the gaping maw. According to BMW the grille is 40% larger than it was before. Its too much imo.

Seeing it the side doesn't help.

This worked great on the new X7, giving it real SUV traits but on the 7-series, its a disaster.

Yet again another win for Mercedes.

The photo shoppers have already begun to share their latest renditions. At least we know that grilles aren't going to be a staple for BMW's EV series.

Mercedes has always been ahead of the game, too bad BMW doesn't take a page from their book.
The 2019 S-Class looks just as elegant as the original, even with meeting todays design challenges:

The grilles aren't that unproportioned lol, but they have been steadily increasing in size. I hope that future models do follow the front end design cues of the Visions Dynamic concept.

Its a fairly large departure from the styling cues of the previous generation even if its being exaggerated. You can see how noticeably different they are when compared side by side.

Sometimes it takes seeing a certain design in person to have a real final say. BMW has been in this segment for decades so I doubt they would mess it up.

No one seems to be mentioning cooling either and that's the main reason why grilles exist. I bet that with a 40% larger surface area, the amount of cooling has risen significantly.

As for any hope left for the 7-Series looking better or different than it does currently, an electrified version could see changes to the grille.

The larger grilles make the car look strange.
